Imported like that, not something he’s done - appears to be one of the coachbuilder ones for military use. Bumper overriders, military spec lights and headlights, etc. I think the reason the hood and dash vents are bare metal is that he got cute with prepping replacement/donor parts: I don’t think the mil-spec IIs got a deluxe hood, though I could be wrong.

I got a ride to hospital in one of those a few years back, after breaking my arm while horse-riding around Dartmoor. I’d elaborate, but I can’t remember much about the trip: I had unfettered access to a tank of that gas and air stuff they give pregnant women in labour.
